LZK-SIM [BAU]: Development of a Method for the Simulation of Building Life Cycle Costs

Project description

The research project described is about the development of the LZK-SIM [BAU] model and a software environment for the calculation of the optimized lifecycle costs (LCC) of buildings. With LZK-SIM [BAU] a forecast of LCC should be possible already in the planning phase. The software environment will allow the approximate optimization of the configuration of components and equipment in buildings. The development of the most important cost types over a fixed period of time will support decision-making processes in the conception, planning and construction of buildings. The research is financed with funds from the research initiative Zukunft Bau of the Federal Institute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs and Spatial Development (BBSR and BMU).
