On October 17, 2024, Mr. Daniel Schmidt defended his dissertation on the topic of "Predictive optimization of energy flows in residential buildings with photovoltaic self-generated electricity, taking into account power-to-heat (heat pump), power-to-power (electricity storage) and vehicle-to-building (bidirectional charging of electric vehicles)". The examination committee consisted of the chairman Prof. Dr.-Ing. Wilko Manz, primary supervisor Prof. Dr.-Ing. Sabine Hoffmann and secondary supervisor Prof. Dr. Steven Liu. Mr. Schmidt passed his dissertation with great grades and the department warmly congratulates him on his successful completion.
